home spun yarn question

someone gave me some yarn that they spun... i have no clue what it is. the colors are very pretty. the yarn is not even: some parts are thicker than other parts. what can i make with it???? it's not a soft yarn. i just don't know what to make with something that isn't even... any ideas?

homespun yarn is often a little uneven thats part of the charm. you can make anything you want but be careful when you wash it. Hand wash it and don't agitate it too much or it could felt. If you feel its a bit coarse use it for a purse or tote you would'nt want it against your skin.
