Help! My Bag is Wet

I just felted my very first bag!!!! I just taken it out of the washer. My question: should I let it dry over my shaping box, and then poke holes for the handles; or should I poke my holes while it's wet?

While I usually add the handles before felting, the last one I made I used a leather punch (Walmart $7.97) & punched the holes after I let it dry. Please note, I'm a beginner at this, so hopefully you'll get some more experienced advice

I felted my first bag not long ago, and I dried it prior to punching the holes. I didn't use anything fancy, just scissors.

I've only felted one project and on that I sewed the handles on prior to felting... Hope it turns out good!!

I think I'm using braided leather for the handles, it would thread through the holes on the sides.

I felted mine yesterday also. he is drying now. I make the handles before feltin just in the pattern. but make them to big so I have to sew them smaller.

cant wait till its dry.
