Ran into trouble with a project

Nicole Masters

Question

to make a long story short I removed the snout portion of my dog because I accidentally cut into the threads creating a hole and now have to replace it. Is it possible to replace the snout?

many thanks

Nicole

Oh dear, poor puppy!

Good news is that I think it is fixable if all the stitches in the head are intact and just the snout is affected..

#1, if the snout is intact and will work by just sewing it back on (using a mattress stitch).  Google 'mattress stitch crochet', there are a bunch of tutorials out there; most of them show them using a contrasting color thread (which you normally wouldn't do), but it demonstrates how invisible the stitch is.

#2, If it's not intact, in other words if you had to cut into the last round(s) of the snout to remove it, you'd have to re-attach the yarn and finish it again before re-attaching.  Same with the stitches in the 'face-hole'.
