Hi Angkra, welcome to the 'ville!  

There is a trick in crochet which I'm going to suggest - you can chain more than you think you need, and pick out the excess chains later--they won't unravel. 

I diagrammed 1 repeat of the pattern in line 1, and the # of chains in 1 repeat can't be made with 1 stitch left over--unless they are saying to repeat until you are at any point in the middle of a repeat with 1 stitch left over, which is unlikely.

Hi Angkra.  It's your 1st row of your 1st (or maybe your 2nd or 3rd - well, you're new to crochet anyway) project.  Don't let that discourage you from crochet.

1 - learning how to read patterns can take some practice.  In some ways it's kinda like learning a new language.

2 - some patterns aren't written well and/or have errors.  The point being - if you don't understand what the pattern is saying, it might be because of the pattern, not you.

Stick with it.  Ask questions.  There are lots of resources out there, Crochetville being one of them.  You got this!  👍
