Website's background stitch

Hello everyone !

Just a little question, would anyone know what is the stitch on the background of this website ?

Looks like plain old US single crochet * worked in rows (meaning, you are seeing alternating fronts and backs of the SC stitch).   To me, SC in rows is easy to spot, it sort of ends up looking like little donuts;  2 rows comprise the donuts (if that makes any sort of sense at all)

One 'donut' circled in red from the above tutorial so you (hopefully) can see what I mean.

*AKA  double crochet in UK terms
