Crochet hats for chicken pattern wanted

I keep seeing pictures all over the internet of chickens wearing cute little crocheted hats. I just can't seem to find a free pattern anywhere. It can't be that hard to make. Can anyone help me find one please?

I've looked around and all I see are patterns for sale on Etsy and Ravelry.com. On Ravelry one of the paid patterns has info on head sizes that might help. Scroll down to where it says "Sizes".
