Following a hat pattern, crocheting in the round.Pattern says 78 hdc, 1CC. 

What does CC Mean? Thank you

That's interesting, I've never seen that before - the only thing that comes to mind is chain (ch), may be a typo?

Or, does the pattern have an index of special stitches (usually at the beginning or end of the pattern), and they've defined what cc is?

Mmmm, a little googling and there are several patterns out there for a 'Copy Cat CC Beanie' but looking at one of them they don't use 'cc' in the pattern.

thank you, already tried above suggestions,only thing that came up for CC was contrasting color but this doesn't apply.
