The headband would be easy to duplicate in SC made into the back loop for the width (looks like 2.5-3" or so?).  This site gives sizes for hats by age so you can decide how long to make it to fit the head.  The ribbing would have to be made in rows back & forth, so you'd have to sew the ends together.

This is the closest free pattern I could find for buttoned overalls in crochet, it was only 1 size (18 months).
