collar help!

i've worked the back and 2 front pieces of this just from the photo without a pattern. i have the sleeves under control, however i really need help figuring out how to do the collar!!! it's GOT to have the ripple, that's the part my customer loves best.

should i work it as 2 pcs without a back, or as a semi-circle?

The collar of that, is the same pattern as the cuff of the sleeve if you look closely, just a smaller diamond. Its not really a ripple as points of the diamonds.

and here i was looking at it as ripples! oops. my other concern is how to attach it....should i do a yolk type thing going all the way around or should i just do sides?
