New to Blocking

Hello friends!

 

Hoping someone can give me some advice on blocking. I'm creating my very first sweater and I'm almost done my last piece and I will soon need to block all the pieces. Do I weave in all the tails before I block or do I block and then weave in the tails as I stitch the pieces together? What's best?

I normally just block after I'm done.  The tails shouldn't matter when you're blocking.  You can weave them in first or wait until you're stitching the pieces together.

I agree with what Sharon said, you can do it either way. 

 

My personal preference is to wait until after blocking to weave in the ends.  This is because I have a track record of making changes post-blocking.  If the fiber is one that responds a lot to being blocked, the dimensions can change.  If I do need to change anything, it can be really hard to undo the woven ends.
