tr2tog when the prvious row was dc2tog

Question

Hi all,

 

I need some help with a baby booties that I am making. The pattern makes no sense to me when it says to tr2tog sddenly when there was no tr stiches at all so far and the previous decrease has been done with dc2tog. I just don't undertsand what I'm supposed to do.

^ What she said.  You are making a new row, with new stitches -- the stitches that were used in the previous row are now only used form the base of the row you are now working on.  They could have been SC or slip stitches too, doesn't matter.  You will be creating 2 new triples in the new row that are joined together across 2 (anonymous, place holder) stitches in the row below.
