sizing hats that are already made

I made a bunch of hats when I was pregnant.  My baby wore them once or twice but I didn't save any of the information about what "size" the hats were meant for.  Can I measure the flat hat to figure out the age range it is meant for?

With the above info, fold the hat so the brims are together, and measure across the brim (if it's a very 'bumpy' pattern, measure inside to inside).  Multiply by 2 for the circumference unstretched.
