What a grumpy looking corn!

It looks like 2 trapezoids.  Instead of sc'ing a rectangle, decrease on 1 edge and increase at the other, always decreasing at the same edge, and increasing at the opposite edge.

row 1 decrease, sc x, increase,  turn

row 2 increase, sc x, decrease.  turn

When you get 1 side of the leaf the way you want , continue but switch the increase and decrease sides so the slant continues the other way.  Example, if your last row was row 1 (It doesn't matter where you stop), make another row 1, then row 2 and so on.

It looks like one side is done and then the other  one is started on the opposite side of the starting chain beginning on the same side as the first side, doing the decs and increases to corrospond, and at the top for the one side it has part of the row in a higher stitch and the rest in a smaller one to make that curve. Like top part of row hdc and bottom part sc etc.
