Need help with a pattern

Hello to all,

 

I am new to crocheting, I have been crocheting for 4 months, now. I found two bags I would really really like to make. But I can't find any of these patterns online. Can someone help me.  I really believe the patterns of the bags are simple. Here are the bags.

Those are all commercially made bags.  This one is similar in style to the first one = you can always just use chunky yarn and change the stitch if you don't like the double crochets: http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/phat-fat-bag

Thank you. May I ask, how do you make the phat fat bag design large or oversized? Also, I believe the 2nd bag looks like a semicircle. Do you know any pattern for semicircle. Maybe I can make a large semicircle and add single crochets at the top and a handle.
