Name/Type of Stitch?

Anyone know the name of this stitch? Crochet, Knit, Tunisian?

i think it's knitted.  there could be a Tunisian stitch that looks like this, but i don't know much about tunisian.

 

it is a rib pattern.  this http://westknits.blogspot.com/2009/05/slipped-rib-shawl-recipe.html is close, although it has knit stitches where your photo has purls.  it is shown upside down to the way it was worked, and it has knit sts where your photo has purls, but i think otherwise it is the same. further search for Slipped Rib might yield good results.
