been searching for this pattern for weeks

I am desperately searching for this pattern, I have been searching the net for around 3 weeks now and no luck, so I am hoping that someone on here as seen it somewhere.

What is the origin of the photos?

it is a photo my friend took, she purchased it from a boot sale / yard sale and asked me to search for the pattern for it.

the backgound stitches look like Tunisian.  the edging loopy stitches are a mystery to me.  

 

are they adult sized, or child sized?

I looked on Ravelry under Tunisian cardigans or vest, and didn't see it.  Did a bit of googling too, retracing your footsteps I'm sure ;-) and found nothing.

 

(Ha ha just realized you posted it under Tunisian---silly me saying it looked like Tunisian in post 4.  Guess that's my senior moment for the afternoon! )

Why don't you try to contace Kim Guzman - she designs tons of tunesian clothing items.  I'm not saying she designed what you're looking for but it might ring a bell with her.
