Help with afghan pattern

Please...I need help with this pattern.  I don't know what 2 rows down means....base chain original chain? And then where to the rest go?  The only thing I know for sure is shell in the previous shell.  Hope someone can help me.

Hi, and welcome! Can you give us the name of the pattern you're using or a link to it?

 

I'm thinking you may be asking how to do the Spike Stitch, but I don't want to lead you astray without reading the pattern, If you are now working on the 4th row, you'll be working your stitches two rows below, into the stitches you made on Row 2.

It means the row that you were working 2 rows previously. if you give a pattern ill try explain exactly what you have to do
