measuring a sleeve

Snowbaby

Question

I'm making a baby cardigan and the measurement says "sleeve seam = 5 inches"

Do I measure from the shoulder or under the arm? There's about 2cm of a difference if I measure from shoulder than under arm

If the seam is from shoulder to wrist, then measure from shoulder

If the seam is from underarn to wrist, then measure from underarm to wrist

that's the thing, it doesn't say, it just says "sleeve seam 5 inches".

I made it 5" from the underarm, I figured too short isn't much use but too long can be rolled/folded up!

thank you :)

You may find more details in the finishing instructions or perhaps from looking at the schematic,

but I agree, a little long is far better than a little short.
