Red heart scarf

There is a red heart scarf pattern that is new today, and it uses bamboo ice thread. Would it be ok to use red heart soft yarn instead? I was going to use the sparkle yarn.

Are you referring to the Lacy Crystals Scarf by Red Heart? Very pretty scarf I might say.

If so, you could use a 4 weight yarn such as the Love but your scarf would be much larger than the orginal pattern. The pattern originally calls for a 3 weight thread. Try making a swatch from the yarn you would like to use and compare gauges to what your end result is and what the pattern lists. Hope this will be a bit helpful.
