Scarf size chart??

Hello everyone!

I am trying to find a size chart for scarves. I have an order for a hat and scarf set for a 4 year old boy, but I don't have any 4yr olds at my disposal (hahaha) to test sizes on. I need to know how long and wide to make the scarf, but I have no clue. If anybody has a link to or a file of a scarf size chart, please post it as it would help me out immensely! Or, if you have made a scarf for a 4 year old and know what measurements I should use, please post and let me know!! (: Thank you all so much in advance

A rule of thumb that I've seen is a scarf should be roughly your height, but I'm thinking you'd want it maybe a tad shorter than this ratio for little ones. Above is an average height by age listing.
