Doily Stretcher

I know they are plenty of vintage doily stretchers for sale on the Internet. I also know how to use Styrofoam to make a faux board. I was wondering if anyone is selling new stretchers today?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting, I've never seen one. And since doilies aren't very popular nowadays (don't get me wrong, I'm a threadie and I love them) I don't suppose there's much demand to manufacture new ones. There are cardboard cutting boards for sewing that have marked grids, but that's on a much larger scale.

Like you said, styrofoam or even corrugated cardboard covered by wax paper or plastic wrap wor great. I also make reusable paper templates that go in between, they look like targets - concentric circles at about 1" intervals, bisected at angles depending on how mainy pattern repeats the doily has. I have another for filet that's square grids.

The oval vintage one was interesting, though.
