Patons Voodoo Yarn!

Has anyone tried the new Patons Voodoo? I am trying to make a purse from a pattern on their webiste that you use this yarn with, but it is really difficult to crochet with the yarn, but is was so expensive I hate to give up on it so quick.... my daughter asked me to make it for her...........

To be honest, I bought some too thinking it would be a really cool scarf and no sooner did I start crocheting that I also found it difficult to work with and plan on just putting it with my de-stash pile. I like different yarn, but for some reason it wasn't working up evenly on the edges and it looked like this crazy mess!
