I am loving this yarn

I am using the Patons Brilliant - gold color - yarn to make the shells and roses poncho for my DD. The pattern link is on the CPC site. It is working up great -- much easier and quicker than I expected with the yarn's metallic bits. This is my first time with a metallic yarn and I am pleasantly surprised at how nice it is to work with.

 

I should finish with the poncho in the next couple days and my DD can hardly wait for it. She is using it to top a haltertop gown for an upcoming wedding she is in. The gown is a deep wine color and simple in style, so this should be perfect for donning at the reception afterwards.

Hi, Rachel -- and thank you for such a wonderful collection of pattern links. I have found so many to work on (and have finished so many, too )

 

I will try to get some pics of the things I have finished, but my 'puter is not a "bells and whistles" type, so will probably have to do it the old-fashioned way -- click and develop first, then scan and upload.
