Huge crochet find in a charity shop

Recommended Posts

I just popped into one of the few 'real' charity shops around here and lo and behold there were literally bags of hundreds of crocheted granny squares!!

Hundreds of them!

There was also a lot of yarn - annoyingly all of it seemed to be acrylic but it was worsted weight and there was a good assortment of colours so I bought a selection of colours.

So much work must have gone into those granny squares...I was tempted to buy them but the colour combos weren't for me and I'm not a fan of acrylic anyway but it seems such a waste that someone's hard work is just sitting there.

If I didn't have a newborn I probably would have bought the granny squares to make blankets for charity or something.

Oooh I couldnt have left those squares behind :drool

We have 3 charity shops here and there is rarely anything crochet or knitting related. And the prices are just too high, on everything not just wool etc.

I'm not tight...just poor :lol
