I've noticed that quilting sites usually have beautiful colors, so you may want to look for images of actual quilts online or in books. google images for "prairie star quilt" http://images.google.com/images?client=safari&rls=en&q=prairie%20star%20quilt&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi

for general color inspiration, a couple of blogs that are good http://attic24.typepad.com/

Hi,

If you are interested there is a book called the Crocheter's Quilt Book by Elyse Sommer IBN 0-02-609170-4, printed by Sedgewood Press in 1987. It has the Prairie Star aka Compass Rose, Texas Star etc. done in her own fashion.
