Gifted a Tunisian Hook

Hey, look what good luck fell my way on Thursday: my friend (spadefoot on Rav, a knitter) gave me her aunt's Boye G Tunisian hook. Yippee! I have several of various sizes already, but I was delighted. I told her if she ever wants it back, it's hers, of course, and I'd consider mine it's temporary home. Anyone know when Boye was putting these circular stops at the end? I'd love to know how old the hook is. And now I have no excuse to not make one of the blankets in Kim's afghan book. Patty
