An easy item to felt

I'm sure it's been mentioned before on here somewhere wasn't sure but I am getting into felting and I would like an easy felting item to make any suggestions?

Why not start with a stitch marker holder, change purse or a hook case? I remember Berroco has a nice hook case that was one of my first projects. For the change purse, I just felted a flat piece, sewed up the sides and cut a hole for the button. You could also sew on a snap in place of a button.

A felted purse or bag is a good first project. Look through the patterns for felted items on CrochetPatternCentral. I would pick a pattern that you crochet all in one piece and then felt (rather than felting the separate pieces and then sewing them together after felting).
