When it comes to crochet

When it comes to crochet what tools or information do you have the hardest time finding?

 

For me it's stitch instructions I can understand. I just hate the ones that say something like: Chain in multiples of 6 + 1 + 2 for stitch!

I find the different yarn weights a challenge to understand and use interchangeably. You could have fingering weight or size 5 cotton thead or 20/3.

Attempting to interchange supposedly same-weight yarns weighs me down sometimes....A baby sweater I wanted to make recently, called for a specific baby yarn...Wanting a blue more vivid than the available pastel, I went for a sport yarn. Although both were labeled as "Light 3", there was enough difference to keep me from making gauge, despite changing hooks -So I changed plans
