I went to buy new thread colors for my next project few days ago, and I was wondering about the prices of the threads around the world . Here, in Egypt I get egyptian 50 grams cotton thread for 4 egyptian pounds which is equal to 0.72 dollars . So how much do you pay for the 50 grams cotton thread in your country?

In my part of India unbranded cotton is 13 Indian rupees for 30 gm.( Approx. 50 Rupees = 1 US dollar). Branded perle cotton is 20 Rupees per 10 gm. Branded knitting cotton is 60 Rupees per 50 gm, but threads and prices vary a lot across the country, and cheaper and more expensive options are available. The strange thing is that threads which are very commonly available in one city will be unheard-of in another, and totally different kinds of threads will be available there. We also have very nice nylon cords for bags, and silky rayon threads for decorative work.
