Anyone understand this pattern?

Question

I was looking at this pattern, and I think the pillow looks really cool....does anyone understand how it goes from being a 159ch ripple to a circle? Or maybe it's just one of those things that I'm gonna have to do before I can see what they are talking about....

you crochet it in a regular ripple pattern, like a flat blanket or scarf, then you pull the all the points VVVVVVV togheter to the middle to make a circle...so it is actually not a circle WHILE you are crocheting it. (does that make any sence at all, cause if not, it is 12:20am here and this my last post before bed :lol )

I wish that picture was better. It's a cool looking pillow! The ladies are correct. It doesn't start out as a circle, which is an interesting way of contructing something. I just wonder how that seam looks when sewn. Maybe a mattress seam there would work best?
