Anyone going to the West Virginia State Fair?

So the West Virgina State Fair, unlike most other states, doesn't have a residency requirement and in fact encourages entries from all over. Since most of my family is in WV, my sister (who lives there) and I decided to enter something and see how we compete against each other, since she can't enter Ohio's with me.

 

Of course, after I sent my entry, she didn't send one!!

 

Anyway, rumor has it that I won blue, but my work schedule hasn't worked out for me to road trip it down there to see for myself. The state fair website doesn't have a posting for winners of all the categories.

 

I was wondering if anyone is going and if so, could you check the afghans and see what happened for sure?

I'd love to go...I live in WV, in the eastern panhandle...but the fair is waaaaaaaay clear across the state from me.

 

I AM going to the Jefferson County Fair (my county) next week, and I'm going to Fiber Optics in Frederick, MD in Sept. I'm not entering in our fair, found out about it too late, but I'm going to be volunteering at Fiber Optics. Can't wait!
