V-stitch for a dishcloth

Ok I want to do a v-stitch and know how to do it but I'm wondering would making this stitch for doing a dishcloth be ok with cotton yarn just wanted 2nd opinions

I think Just about anything works for a dish cloth. When doing a VStitch, I prefer HDCs instead of DCs; it just makes it a little tighter.

My swap partner in the kitchen swap two years ago sent me a V-stitch dishcloth, and it works just fine. I really like the hdc idea. Patty
