What is a saltine or than a cracker?

Hi all, I have seen a lot of posts where people have talked about making saltines. I have no idea what a saltine is other than what I eat when I have an upset tummy. Can someone please tell me what it is?

A saltine is the first two rounds of a granny square.

Thank you Kelly for responding! I kept trying to figure it out. I even asked my crochet friends here at home and no one knew what it was. All I thought about was the cracker:lol

 

I'm glad to know now. I have been making a lot of grannies too!

I wish I had the patience to make one of those quilts. They are so nice beautiful! In my case I guess my high blood pressure keeps me from salt.
