Baby Afghan Question

I am making a baby afghan for a friend of mine to give to a friend of hers. I'm in a rut. Usually I make round ripples or the rainbow afghan but right now I'm just tired of making them. I can't find a pattern that just really jumps out at me right now either.

Do you have any pattern suggestions? I have to find something to make for her.

It's the thermal stitch, and since it's going to be winter soon, I thought you might like a warm blanket. The pattern is for a preemie size, but you can enlarge it.

 

FreePatterns.com has some baby blankets. I like the Picot Stitch Baby Blanket there. You have to join to get the patterns, but joining is free.

I LOVE doing this one. It's a blanket that looks like a teddy bear. It always goes over huge when I give it as a gift, it's so unique.

I actually thought about the bearghan but something in me keeps saying you'll mess up on the face. So, I always hold myself back from doing it. I think I might try making one with scraps so I can make sure I will get the head right. Thanks!
