hey marvie - did you do any 'adjustments' to the hat at all? i'd like to see a picture of yours! i guess i could post a pic.... it's the one i made for my hat swap partner - hope she likes it.

 

anyhow, where the length of the hat is created and is hdc around in even rows for 6 or so.....

 

i went, back loop, front loop, center loop.....

i felt like it gave it more textured and matched the top of the hat better:))

Well the pic is blurry and I used the Goddess for all SEasons to model it, but I posted the pic here.

 

Adjustments.... I may have added a row or two, I almost always have to do that... I did have to go up a hook size I believe, but I mostly followed the pattern. The texture of the stitches kinda got lost in the pattern of the yarn I used, but I do like the way it feels and will have to try it again in a solid color sometime.

 

I can wait to see the pic till your swap partner gets her hat wouldn't want to ruin the surprise too soon!
