vintage wool

Question

I got five skeins (10 oz all together) Of 100% virgin wool. It says its permentaly mothballed.

Will is still felt and will it dye. it was free so i was thinking of play ing with it. If I dye the wool will it still felt. forgive i'm new to the whole dye and felt thing.. SO andlinks aor help would be very helpful.:think

The wool that is labeled that way (Mothproofed) felts well, I have several "vintage" skeins and it's great (I think better than the Paton's Classic Wool). Superwash wool will not felt. It's usually used for socks.

 

I haven't tried dyeing yet, but there are a few sites I have bookmarked.
