vintage wool

I got five skeins (10 oz all together) Of 100% virgin wool. It says its permentaly mothballed.

Will is still felt and will it dye. it was free so i was thinking of play ing with it. If I dye the wool will it still felt. forgive i'm new to the whole dye and felt thing.. SO andlinks aor help would be very helpful.

The wool that is labeled that way (Mothproofed) felts well, I have several "vintage" skeins and it's great (I think better than the Paton's Classic Wool). Superwash wool will not felt. It's usually used for socks.

 

I haven't tried dyeing yet, but there are a few sites I have bookmarked.
