Lined beach bag

Hi There I'm making beach bags for my girls gymnastic coach and I'd like to line them. Problem is I have no idea how to do this. I have a sewing machine but I'm a real beginner. Any help or advice. Thanks

It will depend on the shape and style of bag you are making but here is one suggestion.

Lay your crochet piece on some lining fabric and make a good seam allowance. Cut the fabric and fold in half with right sides together and sew, then turn through. Press a hem on the top, to the inside, then push the lining inside the crochet bag and you can machine stitch or hand stitch around the top, matching the seams and easing in any extra fabric at the sides.

If necessary, you can leave an opening down each side so it is easier to get into the bag. Just spread the seam and hand stitch up the sides too.
