Thrift store sweaters

I just found two 100% wool sweaters at my local thrift store. They are J.Crew, but it looks like someone sort of... shrunk them. They don't seem to be a total loss; instead of being size "large" they are now "smallish-medium". Can I frog them? If so, where do I start?

You can frog them, but it will probably be harder because the seam threads will be more embedded in the yarn. Of course, if they're felted enough, you can just cut them up to make something out of them.
