  1. I'm in Ringwood. I have yet to go to the Ridgewood yarn store, but when I'm feeling saucy, I head over to Knitter's Euphorium in Bloomingdale. I'm usually a Michaels/Treasure Island/Rag Shop kind of gal. If you ever want to meet, I'd love to. I'd have to bring my little Peanut with me though. Oh, btw, I skeeve Taylor ham, except when I'm pregnant.
  2. I just found two 100% wool sweaters at my local thrift store. They are J.Crew, but it looks like someone sort of... shrunk them. They don't seem to be a total loss; instead of being size "large" they are now "smallish-medium". Can I frog them? If so, where do I start?
  3. Yesterday me and my 3 yr old got in the car and she asks me "Where are we going Momma, to get some yarn?" I'm serious people.....I just And my oldest refuses to go shopping with me if the trip includes anywhere that sells yarn/craft stuff. Ha! My 3 yr old does the same thing and my 5 year old son pitches a fit if I mention the yarn store. He whines "Aw Mom, it's SOOOO boring." Crazy kid. Like yarn could EVER be boring. Heh.
  4. I use the pencil hold...my grandmother also taught me. When my hand starts to hurt, I switch off to the knife hold, but that's only when my hand *really* aches.
  5. I finally made it to AC Moore in Paramus a couple of weeks ago. Jeez Louise, was I drooling.
  6. Hi and welcome. I'm from North Jersey...upper Passaic County, originally from Hackensack.
  7. You know you have a problem when you have to buy yarn from the bargain bin, even if it IS kind of ugly...you never know when you might need some putrid green and brown ombre, right? "75% off? I'll take it!"
  8. I'm in North Jersey...Upper Passaic County. I grew up in Hackensack.
  9. You've got to be kidding! I'm in awe of your work. I have your site bookmarked as a favorite. I'm working on a freeform purse now and I frequently visit your site (and some others) for inspiration. I think freeform is like olives...you love it or you hate it. I don't really get those people who hate olives either.
  10. How ya' doin' from NJ. I belong to a parenting/crafty forum (delphi) and someone linked your blog. Your wall hanging made me drool...in a good way though.
  11. I need my remote control right next to me...maybe a few chocolates.
  12. Thanks for the welcome everyone.
  13. Hi there, I'm Michele. I've been crocheting since I was a kid. I love to do all needlework, really. OK, not really. I hate knitting. My hands refuse to learn how to use the needles. Any knitting attempt I've done leads to complete mental breakdown, many tears, flinging of hooks, etc. Even writing about it is making me sweat. Anyhow, I've been lurking and I'm so impressed by the talent here. Looking forward to "meeting" you all.
