Crochet in Italia Mía

Yesterday in the cable TV show "Italia Mia" which is aired for all Latin America through Gourmet Channel, host Donato Di Stefano was showing how hand-made noodles are still made in the streets of Bari, Italia. But oh surprise!!! just around the corner there was a group of old ladies, making crocheted lace!!! He said that these ladies reminded him of his granny.

An amazing thing to see!!!.

Isn't it nice to know that this craft still endures and is still so important to many cultures? I believe it's also still important in the Brittany area of France, where women crochet the traditional headwear. Thank you for sharing that.

My grandmom who taught me to crochet, was from Brittany in France . She was called Mayda Stelle Thebáud.

by the way the name of the TV show host is Donato De Santis, i got it wrong sorry.
