Size question

My knitting/crochet instructor volunteers at a local nursing home, and I suggested that we get together and make lapghans for them. I was thinking of using either 6" or 12" squares, but I'm not sure what the finished size should be. I know a number of you have done things like this, so I figured I'd ask here. What is a good overall size for a nursing home lapghan?

Thanks,

-Nikki

12 12" squares will make you a nice Lapghan that will be 36 X 48 plus your edging. it depends on how many rounds you want to put around after you sew your squares together. I am finishing one up by tomorrow and i can post then how big it is if you like.

Hugs,

sissie
