ANYONE who crochets in OXFORDSHIRE, U.K.?

Hi ,

I have joined a knitting group in despair at meeting local crocheters!

At first they let me criochet happily but then they started asking: COULD I knit at all so I'm doing a scarf in seed stitch in striped on 4mm needles and it's taking FOREVER!!!!

if ONLY I could crochet it and it'd be done before the warm weather comes back!

 

ARE THERE ANY OXON crocheters OUT THERE????

I wish I were nearer to Oxford.. I'm in Romsley.. near Halesowen in the West Midlands. We have friends in Oxford so I know its not REALLY far.

But its kinda far.

 

I've been invited to a couple knitting groups in the area.. but I haven't

been brave enough to go yet. I'd love to learn to knit.. but when I try

it usually ends up in a alot of frustration!

I noticed there is a Knitting and Crochet Guild of Great Britain. The corresponding one in the United States has local chapters that meet. I couldn't tell from their website if it's similar over there.
