grocery store

The grocery store is the community center here. People who wear crochet seem to fall into 2 catagories.

--They don't know what crochet is, they just bought it off the rack

--It was a gift from a friend.

 

The last person I saw wearing crochet was a young man. I was delighted to hear that he had made the hat himself. I told him about a group in Seattle? that I read about somewhere, comprised of college guys making hats. They even went to Africa and taught crochet to young people there. He thought that was cool.
