Garments for sale in local malls (Sydney AUS)

I was out shopping with my daughter today at our closest malls (Chatswood NSW). In the upscale, pricey mall (Chatswood Chase for any Sydneysiders) I saw a "neckerchief" in rayon - a lovely small-medium sized triangular scarf in a pretty small four-petaled flower pattern (I don't think it was more than 18" across the top by 10 - 12" from top edge to point). They had them in a sort of charcoal colour and a creamy off-white... for.... $99!

In the more mid-price-range mall, I saw a top in a shop called Katies (probably along the lines of a Dress Barn in feel, IMO) for $59 - it was quite striking - a black and white pattern of white flower in a black circle motifs connected by triangular mesh in white all lined in a black material (I think it was an acetate/nylon lining and the crochet was in polyester thread (looked to be about a size 10 thread, I think). I thought the top looked quite striking, I was not impressed with the lining shirt material...
