snowman pattern

Has anyone made this snowman pattern in the latest issue of Hooked on Crochet?

I can't find orange thread anywhere to make his nose. Any ideas what I can use instead??

I haven't made this pattern, no, but on some of the snowmen that I have made, I've used orange embroidery floss for the thread. HTH

My sister just made one of them and she used orange embroidery thread..

I made a snowman with a very similar nose and just used sport weight red heart and it worked out great.

 

I think I used an E or F hook.

Thank you for your suggestions. I bought some size 3 thread/yarn and it was too bulky. I might try the embroidery floss. i've never crocheted with that before.

 

I'd love to see pictures if anyone else has made this little guy!!
