Help with Knitting

Recommended Posts

I am getting very very very frustrated... The first day I started knitting, it went great, I was casting on and was able to get a few rows worked. Well, I pulled out that practice work that I had, and I started over to practice casting on again. This is my problem.

Every time I knit my first row, I end up with a line of yarn that keeps getting longer and longer as I knit the stitches... Well, when I get to the last stitch (the stitch that was made from the slip knot), I end up with a loop of string that won't work out or anything. I didn't have this problem before. :( I am getting so frustrated. Please help me!

:thinkIt is the type of Cast On you are doing.

I Googled Cable Cast On and found this for you.

There will be other places you will find it as well.

This, in my opinion, is the very best Cast On for you to learn.

Firm but flexible.

Have fun.

Yeah, I figured out that it was the cast on that I was doing... I was doing the single cast on. I switched to the double cast on, and it worked out quite nicely for me. :)
