Question

doesnt make sense, so if you could make it do so, i'd appreciate it

i have 27 sc.

ending with RS facing for next row. does this mean my next row starts on the right side? i think it does, and not sure why it's difficult for me.

Shape neck: 1st row: (RS). Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 6 sts. Draw up a loop in

each of next 2 sts. Yoh and draw through all 3 loops on hook – sc2tog

made. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.

2nd row: Ch 1. Sc2tog over first 2 sts. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Turn.

3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to last 2 sts. Sc2tog over last 2 sts. Turn. 5 sts.

Work 10 rows even. so i know i'm working 10 rows of 5 stitches

Next row: (WS). Ch 1. 2 sc in first st. Pat to last 2 sts. Sc2tog. Turn. this should leave me with 3 stitches correct? if so, then the next row doesnt make sense.

Next row: Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each st to last st. 2 sc in last st. Turn.

Rep last 2 rows twice more. Fasten off

thanks!

Liz:

1. "ending with RS facing for next row". Yes, this means that your next row starts on the right side.

2. Yes you will work 10 rows of 5 stitches.

3. No, you will actually continue working on 5 stitches per row.

Next row: (WS). Ch 1. 2 sc in first st. Pat to last 2 sts. Sc2tog. - You are increasing in the first stitch, working in the next 2 stitches, then decreasing over the last 2 stitches, for a total of 5 stitches.

Next row: Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each st to last st. 2 sc in last st. - here you are decreasing over the first 2 stitches, working in the next 2 stitches and increasing in the last stitche, for a total of 5 stitches.
