sock yarn

I would like to RAOK someone in a forum and she asked for sock yarn. I have looked at all different patterns and am coming up with different answers, wool, sport and worsted weight and so on.

 

Any ideas of what she most likely meant? :think

Sock yarn is an actual weight. Sock yarn is usually made with wool and nylon to help it stretch. HTH.

There is a 'wool ease' yarn at Annie's that they say is good for socks.

Sock yarn is usually made with wool & some elastic for stretch. I'm sure she meant fingering weight sock yarn. You can get some at http://www.littleknits.com or http://www.elann.com
