Diagonal Lace Afghan

Hey guys!! I'm in dire need of some assistance!!

This is my first go-round with a diagonal pattern. In this particular pattern - I inc as you normally would do - then crochet a shell in the ch space in the first row. Does this mean to form the shell in the "hole" made by the Ch-3 sp?? :eek

Thanks!!

I am doing a texture diagonal blanket myself. (my own design). I hope it will not violate the copyright of the pattern (I assume you found this pattern somewhere on the internet or in a book) that you can share only the first row instructions where it mention the shell in ch-space?

Sounds like its next ch-space after ch-3, not shell in ch-3 space. There is always frogging. :P Be glad it's the first row!

FYI, It will be helpful if you post this question in Pattern Help thread instead. :)

yes, I found this pattern on freepatterns. The actual step for row 2 is:

Inc; diag shell (sc, ch 2, 3dc) in ch sp on row 1, turn.

Row 1 is the inc - ch 6, dc in 4th ch, dc in ea of the next 2 ch; turn
