mixed yarns

Has any one mixed up yarns in a project. I am making a blanket for son. I created the pattern and am using yarn I had here. I ran out of one and went to get a color that was close. I got a yarn and started crocheting. Then illnesses fell here in my house and I did not pay attention. After I got some more yarn did I notice that the other 4 skiens where wool not worsted weight. Will that make a difference in the blanket?

It will when you go to wash it. Acrylic is machine washable. Wool is usually not machine washable, unless it is superwash. Wool tends to felt which will totally mess up the look of your blanket.
